Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a product leader to shape government-focused AI products, partnering with engineering, policy, and customer success to deliver government workflows with Claude at scale.

The role involves discovering where Claude fits within state and federal processes, owning product decisions, and navigating complex compliance regimes while collaborating with cloud and integration partners. This position may require up to 25% travel.

Qualifications

• 7+ years building and shipping products
• Intuition for how government operates
• Experience in public sector or digital services
• Fluency with AI products: evaluations and model behavior
• Shipped inside a FedRAMP, classified, or comparable compliance boundary
• Negotiated with or steered large partners such as cloud providers or systems integrators
• An active TS/SCI security clearance with the US government (relevant for some roles)
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

Responsibilities

• Alongside GTM, run discovery inside government institutions to find where Claude belongs in the production path of their work, then shape the product around what you find
• Own product decisions for our government models and product offerings and the agency workflows built on top of them
• Spot the government needs worth generalizing and carry them into Anthropic's broader roadmap. Many of Anthropic’s commercial features started as public‑sector customer problems
• Help Anthropic navigate government compliance regimes
• Partner with our cloud and integration partners
