Job summary

Anthropic, based in Washington, DC, seeks an Applied AI Pre-Sales Architect to help national security and defense agencies understand Claude and envision its integration into their technology stacks. You will combine deep technical expertise with customer-facing advisory across Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to architect innovative LLM solutions.

From discovery to deployment, you will guide customers, design scalable architectures, develop evals, and ensure safety and reliability.

Qualifications

US citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance are required.
5+ years in technical customer-facing roles such as Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, or TAM.
Experience guiding customers through complex buying cycles and deployments.
Ability to translate technical concepts for diverse stakeholders including executives.

Responsibilities

Partner with account executives to translate customer requirements into technical Claude-based solutions.
Serve as the primary technical advisor through discovery, evaluation, and deployment across teams.
Support customers building with Claude Code, the Claude API, and Claude for Enterprise.
Create and deliver technical content for engineers, developers, and executives.
Guide architecture decisions and integrate Claude into existing tech stacks.
Help customers develop evaluation frameworks to measure Claude performance.
Identify common integration patterns and share insights with product and engineering.
Travel to customer sites for workshops, deep dives, and relationship building.
