Job summary

Balducci’s Food Lover’s Market is hiring for a deli supervisor role in our Mid-Atlantic region. You will oversee daily deli operations, lead front-of-house staff, and ensure top-quality customer service while managing ordering, inventory, and safety standards.

We seek candidates with 3+ years in deli/prepared foods, including at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity, plus strong product knowledge and familiarity with scheduling tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a deli or prepared foods department, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Strong product knowledge and basic knife skills.
• Leadership to maintain high service and cleanliness standards.
• Familiarity with email, basic ordering systems, and scheduling tools (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Opening duties: prepare the department for business each day—cleaning, restocking, checking for expired items, and merchandising displays.
• Supervise and support front-of-house deli staff, assist with training, and foster a positive, customer-first culture.
• Engage with customers, answer questions, offer product recommendations, and ensure a high-quality shopping experience.
• Assist with ordering, receiving, and inventory; ensure products are properly priced, labeled, and displayed.
• Maintain sanitation standards and follow food safety protocols.
• Participate in monthly inventory counts and use basic tech tools for ordering, scheduling, and communication.
