Job summary

The Texas Democratic Party is seeking a GOTV Data Associate to join the Texas Together 2026 Coordinated Campaign, supporting Talarico for Texas and Democratic candidates up and down the ballot. The Data Associate will provide day-to-day data and VAN support to campaign and organizing staff.

Working closely with the GOTV Data & Analytics Director, you will troubleshoot VAN issues, write SQL queries, perform data analysis, and maintain dashboards in Google Data Studio and Google Sheets to inform

• No formal educational requirement; equivalent experience valued.
• Commitment to the Texas Democrats mission and values.
• Familiarity with campaign operations and the pace of political campaigns.
• Strong task and time management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, manage, and respond to VAN support tickets and user requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Troubleshoot VAN issues and provide technical assistance to campaign and organizing staff.
• Complete data entry, reporting, and other assigned tasks within VAN accurately and efficiently.
• Support geographies/districts, including VAN administration, creating phone banks, managing texting programs, and more.
• Work closely with the TDP Data Team to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data and technology issues.
• Write, modify, and troubleshoot SQL queries as assigned.
• Create, update, and maintain reports and dashboards using Google Data Studio (formerly Looker).
• Use Google Sheets and other data tools to support GOTV reporting and analysis.
• Document recurring issues, processes, and solutions to help improve data team support.
• Communicate clearly with users and data team members, translating technical issues into practical solutions.
• Manage multiple assignments and priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced campaign environment.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned in support of Texas Together’s GOTV program.
