Job summary

Texas Democratic Party in Houston, TX is seeking a GOTV Data Associate to join the Texas Together 2026 Coordinated Campaign. You will provide day-to-day data and VAN support, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with the Data Team on data projects.

This role emphasizes attention to detail, service orientation, and quick problem solving in a fast-moving campaign environment. You'll work on SQL queries, Google Sheets, Data Studio dashboards, and reporting, supporting staff and organizers across

• Familiarity with campaign operations and pace of a political campaign.
• Strong task and time management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines in a fast-paced campaign environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly with users and data team members.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.
• Experience working or volunteering on electoral, union, or community organizing campaigns is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, manage, and respond to VAN support tickets and user requests.
• Troubleshoot VAN issues and provide technical assistance to campaign staff.
• Complete data entry, reporting, and other tasks within VAN accurately.
• Support geographies/districts, VAN administration, and texting programs.
• Collaborate with the TDP Data Team to identify and resolve data/tech issues.
• Complete projects assigned by the GOTV Data & Analytics Director.
• Write, modify, and troubleshoot SQL queries as assigned.
• Create, update, and maintain reports and dashboards using Google Data Studio.
• Use Google Sheets and other data tools to support GOTV reporting and analysis.
• Document recurring issues and processes to improve data team support.
• Communicate clearly with users and team members about technical issues.
• Manage multiple assignments and priorities to meet deadlines.
• Perform other duties in support of Texas Together’s GOTV program.
