Pinehurst is seeking a customer-focused retail associate to assist guests with merchandise selection and purchases in the golf shop. The role emphasizes greeting guests promptly, asking about needs, and guiding them to suitable options while maintaining an organized shop.

Responsibilities include processing sales via the POS system, stocking and merchandising, and supporting in various shop events. High school diploma or GED and prior related experience are favored.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum six months related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests within 30 seconds of entering the shop and connect with them.
• Ask open-ended questions to determine customer needs.
• Show options based on information gathered that fit the customer.
• Build the sale by suggesting complementary items.
• Assist golf staff in checking in golfers when needed.
• Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
• Participate in department training and sales contests.
• Proficient use of the POS system.
• Execute opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and easy-to-shop environment.
• Participate in period end inventories and cross-train in all shops.
• Attend Member Appreciation events and other shop activities.
• Communicate items needing replenishment to the manager.
