Job summary

Clear Destination Inc. is seeking a front desk/retail associate for the golf pro shop. You will check in golfers, answer phones and handle tee time reservations using EZ Links, while also assisting guests with pro shop retail items.

The role requires friendly customer service, cashier experience, and basic computer skills. You will interact with maintenance, starters, and guest services to ensure smooth operations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Previous knowledge of golf course operations and etiquette preferred.
  • Customer service, and cashier experience helpful.
  • Good knowledge and experience using computer.
  • Prior experience with Microsoft Excel is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Greet golfers and other guests as they enter the Pro Shop.
  • Project a pleasant attitude to all guests, members and fellow performers.
  • Use computer to check-in golfers on the electronic tee sheet (EZ Links).
  • Check-in golfers and other guests at the register using Point of Sale software (Abacus 21).
  • Be familiar with the Pro Shop retail items and help guests on the Sales floor.
  • Handle cash, credit cards, room charges, gift certificates and member charges.
  • Promote other areas of the Resort including Spa, Retail, Rooms, F&B, etc.
  • Communicate with Maintenance daily on conditions and golf car restrictions.
  • Communicate with Starters and Player Assistants on tee sheet additions.
  • Polietly answer phones within three rings.
  • Properly book tee times on EZ Links.
  • Keep the Pro Shop clean and in order.
  • Complete all assignments requested by Supervisor.
  • Follow grooming and dress standards per Employee Handbook.
  • Maintain open communication with Supervisor and complete End-of-Day reports.
  • Understand and abide by environmental practices of the Resort.
  • Any other duties deemed appropriate by the Director of Golf Operations.

Job description

SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Greet golfers and other guests as they enter the Pro Shop

  • Communicate with the Maintenance crew daily on conditions and golf car restrictions
  • Communicate with Starters and Player Assistants on additions to tee sheet and other items
  • Politely answer phones within three rings
  • Properly book tee times on EZ Links
  • Keep the Pro Shop clean and in order
  • Complete all assignments requested of you
  • Must follow proper grooming and dress standards set forth by GTRS Employee Handbook
  • Maintain open line of communication with SupervisorUse computer to complete End-of-Day reports and perform daily cash drops
  • Must understand and abide by environmental practices of the Resort.
  • Any other duties deemed appropriate by the Director of Golf Operations
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Previous knowledge of golf course operations and etiquette preferred. Customer service, and cashier experience helpful.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Good knowledge and experience using computer. Prior experience with Microsoft Excel is helpful. Must be able to communicate well with others.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Required to stand for long periods of time. Occasional lifting of items up to 50lbs may be necessary.

TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS

May encounter customer complaints, long lines of people checking in, and high levels of phone calls. Must be able to handle these situations with tact and professionalism.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Working inside the vast majority of the time. Hours anywhere from 6:00 am until 10:00 pm.

Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
