Job summary

Five Iron Golf NYC LLC is seeking an Assistant General Manager of Golf to support the General Manager of Performance in running golf operations, guest services, and sales initiatives at our New York location. The role emphasizes hospitality, high service standards, and active guest engagement.

You will help train staff, oversee morning/afternoon shifts, and ensure simulators are maintained while guiding membership growth and event activities.

Qualifications

• Passion for golf and guest-focused service in a fast-paced environment.
• Hospitality, hotel, golf course/club or sports management experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills.
• Upbeat energy and a positive attitude with the ability to manage expectations.
• Availability mornings/afternoons and weekends/holidays; able to stand/walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager of Performance in training of golf staff.
• Provide above-and-beyond service to Guests with a friendly face.
• Open the location in the mornings and weekends.
• Proficiency in golf simulator technology and maintain simulators.
• Build relationships with Guests and check in during bookings.
• Maintain golf bag storage and equipment; stay knowledgeable on products.
• Support hit quarterly sales targets with the Director of Golf.
• Develop membership through events and reciprocity with golf entities.
• Deliver premium food and beverage service and take orders.
• Ensure guest satisfaction and address concerns promptly.
• Follow health and safety regulations for food, alcohol, and cleanliness.
• Verify guests' legal drinking age.
