Job summary

Five Iron Golf, headquartered in New York, seeks an Assistant General Manager of Golf to assist the General Manager of Performance in overseeing day-to-day golf operations at the venue. The role focuses on delivering exceptional service, managing staff, and leveraging golf simulators and product offerings to drive guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or golf operations preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work mornings/afternoons and weekends.
• Positive, energetic demeanor and guest-focused.
• Ability to stand and move for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager of Performance in training golf staff.
• Provide exceptional guest service with a friendly demeanor.
• Open the location mornings and weekends.
• Proficiency in golf simulator technology; maintain quality control of simulators.
• Cultivate relationships with Guests and check in during bookings.
• Maintain golf bag storage and equipment.
• Stay up-to-date on products and hit quarterly sales targets with Director of Golf.
• Develop the membership community through events and local partnerships.
• Coordinate food and beverage service to guests.
• Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction and address concerns.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and ensure age checks for alcohol.
