Job summary

Destination Geneva National in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin offers a Golf Operations Intern position for the 2027 season. The intern will gain hands-on experience across tee-time operations, merchandising, outside services, tournament setup, member relations, and simulator studio work, while learning from PGA staff mentors.

On-property housing may be available on a first-sign, first-served basis with preference given to five- and six-month interns.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• One or more years in a two- or four-year college program, preferably majoring in Golf Course Management (PGM or GEM major).
• Basic computer understanding, usage and reboot knowledge.
• Knowledge of the game of golf is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Offer friendly and professional customer service to all resort patrons, members and guests.
• Use the point-of-sale system to check in golfers, sell merchandise and make/check tee times.
• Assist in ensuring guest check-in and fee collection in coordination with pros and starters.
• Assist in outing/tournament setup and outside services operations.
• Assist with inventory control, displays and end-of-month counts.
• Coordinate with Stay & Play managers on overnight guests regarding tee times.
• Communicate with starters and player assistants to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
• Provide resolution skills and professional conduct as a GN representative.
