Job summary

Destination Geneva National in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin is seeking a Turfgrass Management Intern for the 2027 season to assist with bent grass tees, fairways, greens, and the expansive practice area. The program offers mentorship from experienced superintendents and hands-on exposure to golf course management in a resort setting.

This five-to-six month internship includes complimentary on-property housing and same-day pay.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in Turfgrass/Agronomy/Horticulture degree program or have two-plus years golf course grounds experience.

• Routine calibration of spreaders and sprayers
• Irrigation operation and repairs
• Pesticide and fertilizer applications
• Assisting in and managing various projects
• All aspects of golf course management

TURFGRASS MANAGEMENT INTERN - for 2027 Season

Join the fun, fast-paced team at Destination Geneva National, home to 54 holes of legendary golf designed by icons Arnold Palmer, Gary Player and Lee Trevino and a one-acre Himalayas style putting course. As a Turfgrass Intern, you will help oversee GN's meticulously manicured bent grass tees, fairways, greens, and expansive practice area including two lakeside ranges and three practice greens.

Here is your opportunity to spend the season in beautiful Lake Geneva, Wisconsin while working alongside experienced superintendents who become valuable mentors.

This is a five-to-six-month internship. Ideal candidates will be able to work through September or October. Complimentary housing and same-day pay are available.

Educational Requirements

• Currently enrolled in Certificate or 2- or 4-year Turfgrass/Agronomy/Agriscience/Horticulture degree program, or
• Two-plus years of golf course Grounds experience
