Qualifications

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

• Knowledge of battery and electrical systems.
• Certification in small engine repair or similar.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on golf carts including oil changes, filter replacements, battery service and tire rotations.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on golf carts.
• Conduct pre- and post-rental inspections to document vehicle condition.
• Test drive carts to identify problems and verify repairs.
• Maintain detailed service records and maintenance logs.
• Order and manage parts inventory.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Communicate fleet condition and needed repairs to management.
• Ensure all work meets safety standards and company guidelines.
• Perform other operational duties as needed.

Fripp Island Resort is seeking a skilled Golf Cart Technician to maintain, repair, and service our fleet of golf carts. This position is responsible for keeping our carts in top working condition to ensure safe, reliable transportation for our guests. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on mechanical work and takes pride in vehicle maintenance.

Requirements

To be considered, applicants must demonstrate they meet the following requirements:

• 2+ years of experience repairing small engines, golf carts, ATVs, or similar vehicles
• Ability to read technical manuals and diagrams
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to work independently and as part of a teamExperience specifically with golf cart maintenance
• Experience with battery and electrical systems
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Ability to bend, kneel, and work in various positions
• Knowledge of basic electrical systems and troubleshooting
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Reliable transportation to/from work
• Certification in small engine repair or similar
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards
