Job summary

Fripp Island Golf & Beach Resort in Beaufort, SC seeks a skilled Golf Cart Technician to maintain, repair, and service our fleet of carts, ensuring safe, reliable transportation for guests. The role suits someone who enjoys hands-on mechanical work and takes pride in vehicle upkeep.

On-site, you’ll perform routine maintenance, diagnose issues, inspect carts before and after rentals, manage parts inventory, and keep maintenance logs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years repairing small engines, golf carts, ATVs, or similar vehicles.
• Knowledge of basic electrical systems and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read technical manuals and diagrams.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to/from work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on golf carts including oil changes, filter replacements, battery service, and tire rotations.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
• Conduct pre- and post-rental inspections to document vehicle condition.
• Test drive carts to identify problems and verify repairs.
• Maintain detailed service records and maintenance logs.
• Order and manage parts inventory.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Communicate with management about fleet condition and needed repairs.
• Ensure all work meets safety standards and company guidelines.
• Perform other operational duties reasonably associated with the position and resort needs.

About the Role

Fripp Island Resort is seeking a skilled Golf Cart Technician to maintain, repair, and service our fleet of golf carts. This position is responsible for keeping our carts in top working condition to ensure safe, reliable transportation for our guests. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on mechanical work and takes pride in vehicle maintenance.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience repairing small engines, golf carts, ATVs, or similar vehicles

• Valid driver's license
• Reliable transportation to/from work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience specifically with golf cart maintenance
• Certification in small engine repair or similar
• Experience with battery and electrical systems
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Comfortable working in outdoor conditions
• Ability to bend, kneel, and work in various positions
