Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Chandler, AZ is recruiting a GNC Engineer to design, develop, verify, and test high-quality software and simulation toolchains for missile flight applications. This on-site role focuses on 6DoF simulations, flight dynamics, and guidance design to advance our national security capabilities.

Basic qualifications include a bachelor's degree with 2 years' experience or a master's with 1 year, with security clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2 years of professional experience, or Master’s degree with 1 year
• Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
• Requires the ability to obtain an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance
• Directly related Guidance Navigation and Control (GNC) experience
• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of professional experience, or Master’s degree with 3 years, or PhD with 1 year
• Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, verify, and test high-quality software and simulation toolchains
• Work on a 6 degree of freedom (6DoF) simulation to design and test missile flight code
• Work with 6DoF simulation models to evaluate system performance
• Experience with missile flight dynamics, autopilot and guidance design, and implementation into missile flight code
• Experience with various trajectory optimization software and tools
