Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking a Guidance, Navigation, and Control Engineer to join our Chandler, AZ team for mission-critical aerospace work on seeker-based guidance systems.

You will lead the design, development, and testing of GNC algorithms, build and maintain 6-DOF simulations, and collaborate across engineering disciplines to deliver robust flight software. This onsite role requires a Secret clearance and a strong background in control theory and software in Linux environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in a relevant engineering field.
• Experience with GNC concepts for aerospace or missile systems.
• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, Python, C/C++, Linux.
• Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain clearance

Responsibilities

• Lead GNC development for seeker-based missile engagements and precision intercept.
• Own algorithm design using control theory and state estimation.
• Architect and maintain 6-DOF simulations and perform trade studies.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate across teams for reliability.
• Lead the design, implementation, verification, and test of flight software.
• Define performance metrics and validate flight algorithms.
• Optimize software for performance, robustness, and maintainability.
• Execute trajectory analyses and present results to leadership
