Job summary

RTX's Effectors PG&C Center in Tucson, AZ is hiring a Systems Engineer II - Guidance, Navigation, and Control to support embedded software and flight software development for missile programs. The role involves evaluating, designing, implementing, and integrating algorithms, collaborating with an integrated product team, and delivering 6 Degrees-of-Freedom simulations to meet performance requirements.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM degree and a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience.
• GNC, Signal Processing, and/or Modeling / Simulation experience.
• Experience with and ability to work with MATLAB, Python, C, C++, and/or Object-Oriented programming.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and test embedded missile flight code.
• Define and run system-level performance studies to guide capabilities and obsolescence handling.
• Lead backlog planning and metrics within an Agile framework.
• Mentor and train engineers to improve execution.
• Support missile performance analysis with models and Monte Carlo assessments.
