Job summary

AeroVironment offers a 12-week Summer Internship Program in the United States, onsite, for students or recent graduates. Interns will work with GN&C, flight testing, software and hardware development, gaining hands-on experience in aerospace systems under experienced engineers.

Applicants should be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or computer science, maintain a 3.0 GPA, and be eligible to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering or computer science field.
• Strong interest in GN&C, flight dynamics, control systems or robotics.
• Basic proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink or similar tools is a plus.
• Effective communication and collaborative attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of GN&C systems for aircraft projects.
• Support system testing, including SIL/HIL and basic flight test prep.
• Help implement and test basic flight control algorithms under supervision.
• Participate in subsystem integration and data analysis activities.
• Support engineering documentation and report writing.
• Collaborate with testing teams to troubleshoot and validate solutions.
• Learn engineering processes and tools relevant to flight systems.
