Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. in the United States is seeking a motivated GNC Engineering Intern to join our multidisciplinary team for a 12‑week, onsite internship. You will assist with GN&C design, flight testing, and software/hardware development under experienced engineers

This paid internship offers hands‑on learning in aerospace systems, exposure to flight control systems, testing procedures, and system integration, with potential relocation and housing reimbursement depending on the location.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field (Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, CS).
• Minimum 3.0 GPA with preference for junior level or above.
• Eligible to work in the U.S. and willing to travel domestically (10–20%).
• Relocation and housing stipend may be available depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Assist in GN&C system design and development for aircraft projects.
• Support system testing, including SIL/HIL simulations and flight test preparations.
• Help implement and test basic flight control algorithms under supervision.
• Participate in subsystem integration and data analysis activities.
• Assist in engineering documentation and report writing.
• Collaborate with engineering and test teams to troubleshoot solutions.
• Learn and apply engineering processes and tools relevant to flight systems.
