Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking a motivated GN&C Engineering Intern for a 12-week onsite summer program across US locations. You'll join a multidisciplinary team, support GN&C, flight testing, software and hardware development, and gain hands-on experience with flight control systems.

Under engineers, you'll assist with simulations, test preparations, data analysis, and documentation. Eligible students pursuing Engineering degrees with GPA 3.0+ and willingness to relocate may receive housing or

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's in relevant field.
• GN&C, flight dynamics, control systems coursework.
• Eligible to work in the U.S. and travel domestically up to 10–20%.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and development of GN&C systems for aircraft projects.
• Support system testing, including SIL/HIL environments and flight test prep.
• Help implement and test basic flight control algorithms under supervision.
• Participate in subsystem integration and data analysis activities.
• Support engineering documentation and report writing.
• Collaborate with engineering and test teams to troubleshoot and validate solutions.
• Learn and apply engineering processes and tools relevant to flight systems.
• Perform other duties or learning assignments as needed.
