Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking a GNC Engineering Intern to join a multidisciplinary team in a 12-week, on-site program. You will work on GN&C, flight testing, software and hardware development, gaining hands-on experience in flight control systems and system integration.

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in a related field, with coursework in GN&C, flight dynamics, control systems, embedded systems, or robotics. Travel domestically up to 10–20% may be required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in a related field.
• Completed coursework in GN&C, flight dynamics, control systems, embedded systems, or robotics.
• Interest in aircraft systems and aerospace engineering.
• Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist design and development of GN&C systems for aircraft projects.
• Support system testing, including simulation environments and flight test prep.
• Help implement and test basic flight control algorithms.
• Participate in subsystem integration and data analysis.
• Support engineering documentation and reporting.
• Collaborate with teams to troubleshoot and validate solutions.
• Learn and apply aircraft engineering processes and tools.
