Job summary

Detroit Medical Center, part of Tenet Healthcare, seeks a Residency Program Coordinator to lead GME residency/fellowship operations. You will oversee administrative workflows, liaise with learners, faculty and ACGME, and ensure policy compliance across the program.

Responsibilities include managing the RMS, conferences, recruitment, and site-visit preparation, while mentoring other coordinators and aligning with accreditation timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Education, Administration or related field; in lieu of a degree, significant GME experience may be considered.
• GME experience preferred and hospital admin duties experience advantageous.
• Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat Pro, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and NRMP/ERAS/ADS systems required.

Responsibilities

• Lead administrative oversight of the GME residency/fellowship program.
• Coordinate daily program operations and liaise with learners, faculty, and ACGME.
• Design and manage program policies to ensure compliance with standards.
• Oversee RMS data, rotations, conferences and work-hour reporting.
• Support program director and leadership in accreditation activities and site visits.
• Train and mentor other GME coordinators and staff.
• Prepare recruitment, appointments and internal reviews for residents/fellows.
