Job summary

The Detroit Medical Center (DMC) is seeking a results-driven GME Operations Manager to lead residency and fellowship programs, ensuring high-quality learning and patient-centered outcomes. This role emphasizes operational excellence and collaboration with hospital leadership.

This position oversees recruitment, onboarding, and reporting, partnering with HR, Finance, IT, and Program Directors to advance accreditation, trainee experience, and workforce development across the health system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration, Education, Health Sciences, or related field.
• Master's degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), Public Health (MPH), Education, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day GME operations across the health system.
• Coordinate resident and fellow recruitment, onboarding, matriculation, and graduation processes.
• Supervise GME support staff and coordinators; provide coaching and development.
• Maintain and improve workflows, policies, and standard work processes.
• Collaborate with HR, IT, Finance, Compliance, and hospital leadership on operational delivery.
• Ensure accurate reporting and documentation in residency management systems.
