Job summary

Advocate Health, based in Illinois, seeks a Medical Education Program Specialist to direct administrative operations for accredited graduate medical education (GME) programs in partnership with the Program Director. The role ensures compliance with ACGME and institutional requirements while supporting residents and fellows in their educational and professional development.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree and/or 3+ years of related experience. Medical Education experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of graduate medical education processes and accreditation standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee residency/fellowship activities, including rotations, conferences, didactic sessions, orientation, evaluations, competency assessments, and events.
• Develop annual program goals, work plans, and accreditation cycle strategies with the Program Director(s).
• Compile, analyze, and present program data and reports to support decision-making.
• Monitor duty hour regulations and trainee documentation for compliance.
• Coordinate accreditation activities (APE, CLER) and site visits.
• Maintain trainee and faculty records and graduation activities.
