Job summary

Henry Ford Health System in Detroit onsite at St. John Hospital seeks an experienced Graduate Medical Education Program Administrator.

You will manage department budgets, staff relations, and payroll, ensuring compliance with Joint Commission, OSHA, and ACGME standards. You will develop new processes, coordinate calendars, and support residency programs from onboarding to graduation, while partnering with GME leadership on accreditation and data systems.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree with 2 years of cumulative experience, or 7 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience.
• 3 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
• Graduate Medical Education experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365.

Responsibilities

• Manages all budget aspects of the department.
• Oversees staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, conflict management and payroll.
• Ensures residency/fellowship programs meet Joint Commission, OSHA, and ACGME requirements to maintain full accreditation.
• Develops new systems to support organizational change under ACGME standards.
• Presents at national, regional and local conferences, workshops and on-site meetings.
• Coordinating a large cyclical calendar with weekly, monthly, and annual deadlines.
• Manage projects, streamline processes, develop reporting, and build faculty development programs.
• Support residency onboarding/offboarding, graduation, and cross-functional coordination.
• Supports GME leadership, accreditation processes, and data systems.
• Involved in continuous improvement and professional development of program coordinators.
