Job summary

The Detroit Medical Center is seeking a Manager of GME Operations to lead day-to-day Graduate Medical Education activities across the health system in Detroit, MI. This role partners with program directors, HR, IT, and hospital leadership to ensure compliant, high-quality resident experiences.

Responsibilities include overseeing recruitment, onboarding, and trainee lifecycle, managing residency systems, and driving process improvements and financial stewardship for GME initiatives.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of healthcare operations and administration.
• Experience supporting residency/fellowship programs and GMED processes.
• Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day GME program operations across the health system.
• Coordinate resident/fellow recruitment, onboarding, and graduations.
• Supervise GME staff and coordinate workflows, policies, and reporting.
• Manage residency management systems and data integrity for reporting.
