Job summary

The University of Wisconsin‑Madison is seeking a Graduate Medical Education (GME) Coordinator to support resident onboarding, expenses, and evaluations within the School of Medicine and Public Health. The role also involves coordinating faculty call/attending schedules and participating in applicant interviews.

The Coordinator will liaise with the Program Manager/Director, residents, and institutional GME Office, ensuring accreditation and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience with event or meeting planning and coordination.
• Experience working with financial information including updating, reviewing and/or maintaining budgets.
• Strong writing and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Identifies, troubleshoots and resolves discrepancies in resident/fellow expenditures and provides reports to the GME Office.
• Serves as primary contact for the program, liaising with residents, fellows, faculty and the GME Office.
• Contributes to curriculum design, development and evaluations; schedules evaluations and teaching sessions, maintains rotation, call schedules and records.
• Participates in opportunities offered by the GME Office and UW Health/UW‑Madison; shadows program reviews annually or biannually.
• Manages HR lifecycle components from recruitment through alumni for residents/fellows.
• Maintains understanding of accreditation requirements and regulatory policies to ensure compliance.
