UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a Graduate Medical Education Program Coordinator II to join Surgery Education. The role focuses on coordinating the GME residency/fellowship programs, ensuring compliance with ACGME and accreditation standards, and supporting recruitment, onboarding, and credentialing.

Strong organizational and communication skills are essential to advance program quality and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

Associate's Degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or related field required; 4 years admin experience or 60 college hours may substitute.
2 years of direct experience with a medical education program; knowledge of ACGME or LCME accreditation is required; may require federal background check.

Responsibilities

Coordinate all aspects of the GME program and implement innovative educational strategies.
Support daily operations of GME residency/fellowship programs and assist other program coordinators.
Facilitate resident recruitment, onboarding, visa, licensure, and credentialing in collaboration with the Program Director.
Provide guidance to residents, fellows, and staff on policies and program procedures.
Lead program compliance with ACGME requirements and regulatory standards; advise on inquiries from stakeholders.
Oversee program evaluations and timely data analysis.
Lead preparation and submission of reports to ACGME and regulatory bodies.
Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives; participate in national/regional GME conferences.
