Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking an Assistant Vice President of Graduate Medical Education (AVP GME) to lead operations, strategic planning, and division-wide GME programs in the Tallahassee area. The role directs daily operations, maintains accreditation readiness, and partners with executives to drive program development across North Florida.

The AVP GME provides leadership for program administrators, ensures financial stewardship, and aligns division objectives with corporate strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required.
• Master’s degree preferred for advanced leadership in GME operations.
• Training Administrators of Graduate Medical Education (TAGME) highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides strategy, oversight and hands-on management for the GME service line and programs within the Division.
• Develops business plans and ensures execution for GME initiatives.
• Oversees hiring, training, evaluation and staff development across facilities.
• Manages budgets and resources for Graduate Medical Education cost centers.
• Maintains accreditation readiness and coordinates with ACGME requirements.
