Job summary

Residents Medical Center for Graduate Medical Excellence in Los Angeles, CA, seeks an HR Generalist/Coordinator (GME) to blend HR generalist duties with day-to-day support for GME residency programs. You will onboard residents, handle credentialing, visas, and leave administration, while ensuring ACGME readiness and compliance.

You will work hybrid, collaborating with residents, fellows, faculty, and program leadership to manage contracts, duty hours, and HR documentation within the GME office.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of HR experience in a GME office, teaching hospital, or academic medical center.
• Familiarity with ACGME requirements related to HR and personnel processes.
• Experience with resident/fellow contracts, duty-hour regulations, and credentialing.
• Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, EEOC, and state leave laws.
• Strong organization and ability to manage sensitive personnel files.
• Excellent interpersonal skills across residents, faculty, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR contact for residents, fellows, and faculty across programs.
• Oversee end-to-end onboarding and credentialing for residents and fellows.
• Support duty-hour compliance documentation and accreditation readiness.
• Coordinate leaves, actions, and remediation in liaison with program leadership.
• Manage contract renewals, stipends, salaries, and benefits enrollment.
• Maintain faculty appointment letters and credentialing files.
• Assist with new program applications and HR aspects of accreditation.
