Job summary

Sitreps 2 Steercos is seeking a General Manager to lead a long-established commercial services business within a private equity backed platform. This on-site role centers on delivering P&L ownership, driving sales discipline, and aligning operations with platform standards as the business scales into new markets.

The GM will partner with the founder, set performance targets, manage pricing and back-office processes, and lead growth efforts with new territories and acquisitions.

Qualifications

• Full P&L ownership as a General Manager or equivalent in a trade/blue‑collar services business of comparable size or larger.
• Operating seat in current or most recent role; consulting or banking is acceptable but not the last job.
• Track record of building accountability in a sales team: targets, cadence, pipeline discipline, and measurable results.
• Experience raising the bar on an established team without compromising culture.
• Strong financial command: read the P&L, model the levers, and defend the numbers.
• Willingness to be on site in the St. Louis area every day.

Responsibilities

• P&L Ownership: Own revenue, gross margin, and EBITDA; build annual budget and monthly platform reporting; decide pricing and costs.
• Sales Leadership: Set sales targets, manage weekly pipeline/quotas, ensure accountability, develop a scalable sales motion.
• Operations: Oversee dispatch, service delivery, installs, procurement, and receivables; enforce standards.
• People: Assess talent, develop leaders, recruit gaps, and make decisive personnel decisions.
• Founder Partnership: Collaborate closely with the founder; translate field instincts into repeatable processes.
• Growth: Once stable, justify new markets, lead acquisitions, and develop new service lines.
