Job summary

Raleigh Improv in Cary, NC seeks a General Manager to lead venue operations in a fast-paced, hospitality-driven environment. You will oversee staff hiring and development, purchasing, and vendor management while maintaining guest satisfaction and financial performance.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in senior leadership within restaurants or clubs, strong budgeting and analytics, and the ability to multitask under pressure.

Qualifications

• Must be polished, professional, friendly, and able to multitask and take initiative.
• College Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role within a Restaurant or Club.
• Extensive knowledge of budgeting, food safety, sanitation, and team management.
• ServSafe Food Handler Card ensuring compliance with any county or state requirements.
• Current RAMP Certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
• Strong analytical and math skills for reviewing P&L in Food & Beverage.
• Flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
• Dedication and willingness to go above and beyond in hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Have a passion for hospitality and an entrepreneurial spirit.
• Take care of guests and team members as the top priority.
• Create and foster positive team morale and address concerns efficiently.
• Develop schedules meeting operational needs regardless of staffing levels.
• Evaluate and improve processes for staff and financial performance.
• Complete bank audits with servers and bartenders.
• Coach and mentor back/front of house managers and staff.
• Partner with Special Events, kitchen, and service staff for exceptional experiences.
• Maintain P&L, budgeting, cost of goods, labor, and expenses in collaboration with Home Office.
• Manage day-to-day operations with floor presence and guest experience focus.
• Take inventory and order items with Kitchen Manager to control costs.
• Coordinate with Programming to ensure talent performances meet hospitality standards.
