Job summary

The Sports & Social Cary in Cary, NC is seeking a hands-on Assistant General Manager to lead daily venue operations and uphold our high service standards. You'll oversee staffing, safety, budgets, and guest experiences, reporting to the General Manager.

Ideal candidates bring 1–3 years of leadership in fast-paced hospitality, strong people skills, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. This role offers a dynamic work environment with training and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; College degree preferred.
• 1–3 years leadership experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Strong people management, communication, and listening skills.
• Proven ability to lead a team and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Must be flexible and adaptable to change; strong time management and organization.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day venue operations following company policies.
• Maintain facility cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards.
• Manage cash handling, inventory, labor, and financial reports.
• Oversee cost of goods, nightly comps, and safe audits.
• Respond to customer service needs with high standards of service.
• Recruit, interview, hire, train, and coach supervisory and hourly staff.
• Ensure safe working and guest environment; manage entertainment vendors.
• Handle deposits, safe counts, and cash security.
