Job summary

Beach Bum Tanning & Airbrush Salon in Sea Girt, NJ is hiring tanning consultants. You will guide clients through tanning options, explain the process, and ensure a welcoming, safe experience. The role emphasizes sales, product recommendations, and building repeat client visits in a fast-paced, friendly environment.

Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available. Strong communication and prior customer service or sales experience are valued, with evenings and weekends required.

Qualifications

• High school graduates (or equivalent).
• At least 18 years old.
• Strong communicators, both verbally and in writing.
• Experience in customer service or sales (preferred).
• Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Comfortable standing, bending, and being on their feet for extended periods.
• Sales: 1 year
• Customer Service: 1 year

Responsibilities

• Welcoming clients and creating a warm, inviting atmosphere from the moment they arrive
• Evaluating skin types and recommending the most suitable tanning equipment, products, and safety guidelines
• Explaining the tanning process clearly, answering questions, and ensuring clients feel comfortable and informed
• Keeping tanning rooms and common areas clean, organized, and fully stocked
• Recommending and selling lotions and retail products based on client needs
• Consistently meeting or surpassing sales goals while maintaining excellent customer service
• Building strong client relationships and encouraging repeat visits
• Maintaining accurate client records, including preferences and tanning history
• Opening and closing the salon according to company standards
