Job summary

Vontier seeks a Vice President of Software Engineering to lead the global engineering organization for Convenience Retail technology. You will drive the architecture, strategy, and delivery of POS, IoT, cloud SaaS, telemetry, and analytics across multi‑region teams.

You will partner with the CTO and business leaders to shape a unified Retail Technology vision, guide DevOps and ProdOps, ensure security and PCI compliance, and deliver scalable, high‑impact solutions for the global market.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in a leadership role within retail solutions or tech.
• Deep knowledge of leading technology providers and modern cloud systems.
• Proven track record with large customers and executive stakeholders.
• Exceptional communication, capable of executive-level presentations.
• Experience leading large engineering teams (100–250+).
• History of delivering innovative large-scale POS, IoT, and cloud-based solutions.
• Understanding of security standards and PCI certifications.
• Experience leading software development on cloud-native systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a global engineering team across multiple locations (US, Argentina, Europe, India).
• Oversee a broad portfolio and global operation with significant revenue streams.
• Define and execute a cohesive technology vision and architectural roadmap for engineering, DevOps, ProdOps, QA, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with CTO and executives to deliver next-gen retail technology solutions.
