Job description

We are seeking an accomplished and goal-driven Global VP of Sales with deep expertise in renewables, particularly within solar, wind, energy storage, and the TIC industry. This is a high-impact role, ideal for a strategic sales leader with a proven track record in driving revenue growth, market development, and customer engagement across a diverse region.

You will join STS, a key player in the global renewable energy sector. With operations spanning sixteen countries across North America, Europe, and Asia, our teams comprise individuals, much like yourself, who are passionate about renewable energies, technology, quality, and sustainability.

Position Overview

The Vice-President of Sales is responsible for driving the overall sales strategy, organization, and

performance across all regions. This includes designing the sales structure, recruiting, and

developing talent, as well as ensuring the achievement of sales KPIs such as revenue growth,

customer acquisition, retention, and satisfaction. The VP of Sales will provide strategic leadership,

especially in high-value negotiations, and ensure that sales processes are optimized to deliver

consistent and measurable success across all territories

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the company’s overall business objectives, driving revenue growth, market expansion, and customer acquisition. ·
  • Set and monitor KPIs across regions, such as revenue targets, customer acquisition, customer retention, cost of sales, customer satisfaction, and on-time payment collection. ·
  • Ensure regional sales teams deliver consistent performance by providing leadership, oversight, and support. ·
  • Improve the sales cycle and lead the sales team to mastering it.
  • Design and implement the sales organizational structure, ensuring the right talent and resources are in place across all regions (Americas, EMEA, South and Central Asia & Gulf territories, APAC). ·
  • Lead recruitment efforts, onboarding, and development of Regional Sales Managers and key sales staff to build a high-performing team. ·
  • Drive continuous professional development by implementing training programs, improving sales tactics, and coaching the team on advanced sales techniques. ·
  • Foster a collaborative culture where the sales team works closely with the marketing and customer success teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Provide high-level guidance on negotiation strategies, ensuring that the regional teams are equipped with the tools, tactics, and frameworks to successfully close deals. ·
  • Become directly involved in high-value, strategic, or complex negotiations, acting as a senior executive presence to demonstrate commitment to key customers or partners. ·
  • Approve key deal terms and pricing for significant or escalated deals, ensuring alignment with the company’s financial and strategic objectives. ·
  • Act as the final escalation point for regional managers when negotiations face critical challenges or deadlocks, providing guidance or direct involvement to secure the deal.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field, Business Administration, Sales, Marketing or a related field.
  • Ideally 15+ years of experience in sales leadership roles, and must have at least 10+ years of experience in the solar sector, with a proven track record of successfully driving revenue growth and scaling sales organizations. Proven track record in managing sales operations, and strategy deployment with a demonstrated ability to drive sales growth, and lead high-performing teams across the Americas.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, able to foster collaboration, and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Sales Management in industries related to technical advisory, professional services, or complex B2B sales environments in the renewables sector (solar and energy storage preferably). ·
  • International Sales expertise, with specific experience managing sales teams across multiple global regions (Americas, EMEA, APAC, South and Central Asia & Gulf). ·
  • Digital Sales and E-Commerce proficiency, with experience driving digital engagement, online sales channels, and optimizing CRM systems.
