Job summary
Turner Construction Company seeks an experienced Safety Leader for a full-time traveling assignment supporting our Market Segments Group. You will work with EH&S and project teams to enforce safety programs, lead training, and guide environmental compliance across segments including Data Center and EV/Battery/Renewables.
The role demands 7+ years in construction safety, CHST certification (or within 6 months), OSHA 30, and strong communication and leadership skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or related field with 7+ years of construction safety experience.
- CHST certification required or within 6 months of appointment.
- Completed OSHA 30-hour training and current First Aid/CPR/BBP and AED certifications.
- Knowledge of Federal, State and local EH&S regulations.
- Experience in incident management and corrective actions.
Responsibilities
- Lead EH&S on a single construction project per HQ policy.
- Develop and implement safety programs and training for project teams.
- Assess and mitigate environmental and safety risks through action plans.
- Develop reports and present safety performance to stakeholders.
- Mentor and manage Project Safety team; support hiring and onboarding.
