Job summary

Layton Construction in Utah seeks a Project Manager to lead planning, management, and execution of assigned construction projects, with focus on data center work. You will drive budgets, schedules, safety, and client satisfaction, aligning with Layton’s standards.

You will collaborate with internal and external teams, prepare PMPs, manage procurement, and oversee change orders to ensure profitability and successful closeout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management or related field.
• 4+ years project management experience within Data Center Construction.
• Has a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• In-depth knowledge of commercial construction processes.
• Understands estimating concepts and change orders, etc.
• Knows construction laws, codes, and design requirements.

Responsibilities

• Champions The Layton Way by delivering predictable outcomes for internal teams, external teams, and customers.
• Ensures Constructing with Integrity through honesty, unity, safety, and quality.
• Assists in the preparation of estimates for the project.
• Prepares project budgets and unit cost reports.
• Leads the project team in preparing the project management plan (PMP).
• Negotiates and prepares subcontracts; obtains permits and resolves regulatory requirements.
• Develops and monitors project quality, safety, and risk management plans.
• Manages procurement of materials and equipment within budget and schedule.
• Monitors schedule, cost, safety, quality; evaluates milestones and profitability.
