Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Import Export Coordinator for a permanent position in a fast-paced manufacturing company in Moonachie, NJ. You will coordinate all import and export activities, ensure regulatory compliance, and work with brokers, carriers, and freight forwarders to ensure timely delivery.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in import/export within manufacturing, strong organizational and communication skills, and proficiency with import/export software and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of import/export experience in manufacturing.
• Deep knowledge of import/export regulations, customs procedures and international shipping practices.
• FDA regulations experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency with import/export software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage all import and export activities, ensuring compliance with local and international laws and regulations.
• Interface with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and shipping lines to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
• Prepare and process import/export documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, commercial invoices, and customs declarations.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock availability and minimizing storage costs.
• Maintain knowledge of import/export regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements, advising management on impacts or opportunities.
• Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve issues related to import/export activities.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize import/export processes for cost savings or efficiency improvements.
• Conduct regular audits of import/export processes and documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Provide regular reports on import/export activities, costs, and performance metrics.
