Job summary

BBVA in New York is seeking a Global Trade BE Associate to act as the primary liaison between Front and Back office, ensuring accurate execution and post-sale service for SBLCs and Documentary Credits, from Sales to Execution.

The role requires 2-3 years in Global Trade Finance, fluency in English with Spanish preferred, and strong attention to detail. Proficiency in MS Office and effective communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in Global Trade Finance.
Proficient in SBLC language and drafting.
General understanding of ISP and UCP rules.
Fluent in English (both oral and written); Spanish preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

Review that all documentation is in order per the checklists for new facilities and transactions.
Review Agreements to ensure compliance with credit and other approvals.
Review language of SBLCs and DCs.
Review documentation provided by the Front office for review and 2nd check prior to sending to the back office using checklists in place.
Contact customers to obtain complete final documentation decks within deadlines.
Monitor profitability and ensure transactions meet Front Office approvals.
Workflow submissions for risk approvals of transactions; liaise with Compliance, Audit, and Operations; monitor ongoing deals with Front Office.
