Responsibilities

• Process Commercial Letters of Credit, Standby Letters of Credit, Bank Guarantees under approved Credit facilities and Documentary Collections.
• Manage daily volume and reconcile intraday and end-of-day work.
• Provide superior client service and timely responses to requests.
• Identify and document errors to reduce exposure; ensure compliance with ICC Rules and BBH policies.
• Interact with BBH departments to resolve issues and mitigate risk.
• Contribute to process improvements and monthly management reporting.
• Assist team members with day-to-day activities and provide backup.

Trade Finance Senior Specialist

Position within the Credit Administration team is a mid‑level role with direct responsibility for the processing of Commercial Letters of Credit, Standby Letters of Credit, Bank Guarantees under approved Credit facilities and Documentary Collections in support of the firm’s business lines. The specialist deals with moderately complex issues in their area of focus, authenticating client instructions, data processing, reporting, reconciliation, conferencing, and communicating with other departments, operations groups, account managers and clients. The position also contributes to projects.

Key Responsibilities

Transaction Processing

• Process Commercial Letters of Credit, Standby Letters of Credit, Bank Guarantees under approved Credit facilities and Documentary Collections.
• Manage daily volume.
• Perform intraday and end‑of‑day reconciliation of daily work.
• Ensure all deadlines and requirements are met.

Client Service

• Provide superior client service.
• Ensure timely response to internal and external requests.
• Follow up on open inquiries.

Risk Management

• Help identify and document errors to reduce exposure.
• Process transactions in accordance with ICC Rules and BBH’s Credit and Compliance Policies.
• Interact with other BBH departments on resolution of issues.
• Communicate professionally to resolve issues and minimize risk and exposure.

Other

• Gain efficiencies to improve individual productivity.
• Contribute to division or firm process improvement activities.
• Assist in development and production of monthly management reporting.
• Assist team members with day‑to‑day activities or provide backup.

Location: New York City. This is a hybrid role, with three days per week in office.

Salary Range

NY: $75,000 - $85,000 base salary + target annual bonus.
