Job summary

BBVA is seeking a senior SFT trader and risk manager for its New York office to lead the Americas EM & Credit SFT business for BSI and BBVA SA. You will trade, settle, and expand SFT products across repos, securities lending, TRS, and related instruments.

Responsibilities include managing positions, hedging liquidity, rate and FX risks, and collaborating with trading, sales, middle and back office, engineering and legal to build robust SFT infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 11+ years in Fixed Income markets with 2+ years in SFT/Repo.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Series 7 and 63 licenses.
• Experience with Latam Sovereign, EM Credit and US Credit.
• Proficient with Bloomberg, BrokerTec, GLMX and other trading platforms.
• Murex experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Trade the existing SFT Americas EM & Credit activity including repos, securities lending, TRS and related products.
• Grow SFT Americas EM & Credit businesses by expanding product capabilities and client base.
• Manage SFT positions and hedge liquidity, balance sheet, interest rate and FX risks.
• Enhance desk position and risk management tools and processes.
• Collaborate with SFT trading, sales, and back/middle office across geographies.
• Design and build SFT infrastructure with Engineering, Legal, Risk, and Operations.
