U.S. Bank is seeking an accomplished Standby Letter of Credit Advisor to join its Global Trade & Standby Services. You will help structure sophisticated SBLC transactions and act as a trusted consultant to Relationship Managers, Credit, and Legal teams, ensuring client success while protecting the bank’s interests.

The role emphasizes advisory skills, risk awareness, and collaboration in a fast-paced, client-focused environment across multiple locations. Hybrid work with onsite days is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Eight or more years of relevant work experience.
• Extensive SBLC experience with complex deal structuring.

Responsibilities

• Advise on complex SBLC transactions, including issuance, amendments, and structuring considerations.
• Review credit and reimbursement agreements and related legal documents.
• Consult with Relationship Managers, Credit, and Legal on transaction structure and risk.
• Guide clients and internal partners through the SBLC process with confidence and expertise.
• Support onboarding of new and complex client relationships.
• Deliver exceptional service while balancing risk and business objectives.
