Job summary

RBC in New York is seeking a Capital Markets Documentation specialist to negotiate and manage complex trading agreements. You will handle ISDA and SIFMA master agreements, work with the Law Group, and ensure RBC Standing Orders are followed. The role demands strong risk awareness and the ability to manage a busy workload.

You will reflect negotiation outcomes in systems, contribute to policy improvements, and engage with diverse counterparties including asset managers and hedge funds.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of industry-standard master agreements (ISDA & SIFMA).
• Understanding of counterparty types (asset managers, corporates, hedge funds).
• Ability to assess risk in trading documentation.
• Strong oral and written communication abilities.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to RBC policies.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate industry-standard ISDA and SIFMA master agreements and with the Law Group non-standard documents.
• Negotiate and reviews regulation-driven docs (ISDA Variation Margin and Initial Margin).
• Ensure compliance with RBC Standing Orders for all trading documentation.
• Update Trading Documentation systems to reflect negotiation status and captured information.
• Ensure internal systems are updated accordingly.
