Job summary

Dorman Products seeks a Senior Trade Compliance professional to lead our global program, ensuring adherence to import/export regulations and optimizing duty programs. This role requires deep knowledge of U.S.

and international trade laws and experience managing brokers and audits. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in trade compliance, a Bachelor’s in a related field, and a track record of implementing process improvements in a manufacturing/distribution setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, International Trade, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive trade compliance experience.
• Experience managing complex import/export compliance programs.
• Licensed Customs Broker preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage key components of the global trade compliance program and ensure compliance with import/export regulations.
• Maintain trade compliance policies, procedures, controls, and work instructions.
• Monitor regulatory developments and assess potential business impacts.
• Support implementation of compliance initiatives and process improvements.
• Support import/export compliance activities across North American operations and international markets.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on customs and trade compliance matters.
• Oversee customs broker relationships and related compliance requirements.
• Lead CTPAT program administration and audits.
• Coordinate risk assessments, validations, audits, and corrective action plans.
• Manage duty savings and trade optimization programs, including drawback, First Sale, FTZ, and other initiatives.
