Job summary

Dover Corp is seeking a Global Trade Compliance Manager to oversee U.S. customs and international trade compliance matters. The role partners with the Dover Law Department and coordinates with OpCo trade compliance teams to ensure adherence to laws, regulations, and standards.

The ideal candidate will lead risk assessments, optimize classification and export processes, and deliver targeted training on import/export regulations and trade compliance best practices across Dover's OpCos.

Qualifications

• Experience with U.S. customs and trade compliance required; familiarity with customs brokerage is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of professional experience.
• Ability to drive projects forward by obtaining stakeholder buy-in and collaborating cross-functionally.
• Familiarity with ACE Portal, PowerBI, and Descartes Visual Compliance or similar screening tools.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and a client-service orientation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including with non-U.S. personnel and management.
• Demonstrates good judgment, integrity, and professional demeanor in business settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior counsel with risk assessments of the trade compliance program at the OpCo level.
• Review classification, import, and export processes within OpCos and identify gaps.
• Share best practices across OpCos in classification, import, and export processes.
• Help implement process improvements across OpCos to reduce risk and improve efficiency.
• Create reports in PowerBI using ACE data to support internal review and auditing.
• Update training materials for the export control screening tool and train new users.
