Job summary

FTI Consulting is seeking an experienced Trade Services Consultant with 2+ years of hands-on trade compliance and international trade experience to support the delivery of Trade Services engagements.

You’ll execute day-to-day and project-based trade compliance activities, review entries, perform tariff classification, and support FTZ and import operations. Travel to clients and FTI offices is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on trade compliance, import operations, or related international trade activities.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. customs regulations and trade data review experience.
• Experience preparing workpapers, client deliverables, and supporting reports.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and work independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to collaborate with clients and teams.
• Willingness to travel to clients and FTI offices.

Responsibilities

• Execute day-to-day and project-based trade compliance activities per client requirements and laws.
• Review customs entries, import transactions, and related documentation for accuracy.
• Perform tariff classification, country-of-origin, valuation, and duty analyses.
• Support tariff mitigation, duty drawback, and other duty recovery actions.
• Execute FTZ activities including admissions, inventory controls, and reconciliations.
• Handle importer-of-record and import operations tasks such as entry review and post-entry processes.
• Analyze trade data to identify errors, discrepancies, and potential compliance issues.
• Prepare workpapers, calculations, reconciliations, and audit-ready client deliverables.
• Conduct recurring compliance reviews and coordinate with brokers, clients, and teams.
• Support client implementations and transition activities; meet service levels and deadlines.
