Job summary

FTI Consulting is seeking an experienced Trade Services Consultant in New York with 2+ years of hands‑on trade compliance and international trade experience to support the delivery of Trade Services engagements.

You will execute day‑to‑day and project‑based trade compliance activities, review entries and documentation for accuracy, and perform tariff classification and origin analyses while assisting with FTZ operations and data analysis. This role requires travel and US work authorization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of hands‑on experience in customs, trade compliance, import operations, or related activities.
• Knowledge of U.S. customs regulations and trade compliance basics.
• Experience reviewing entries, data, and documentation with strong analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Execute day‑to‑day and project‑based trade compliance activities per client requirements and laws.
• Review customs entries, import documentation, broker data for accuracy and compliance.
• Perform tariff classification, country of origin, valuation analyses and prepare docs.
• Support FTZ activities, admissions, inventory controls, and related tasks.
• Analyze trade data to identify errors, discrepancies, and potential issues.
• Prepare workpapers, reconciliations, and client deliverables for audits.
