Job summary

FTI Consulting is seeking a Trade Services Consultant with 2+ years of hands-on trade compliance experience to support diverse engagements. You will execute day-to-day and project-based activities, review entries and documentation, and perform tariff analyses to ensure regulatory compliance across international trade operations.

The role requires knowledge of U.S. customs regulations, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to travel to client sites and FTI offices as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or related field.
• 2+ years in customs, trade compliance, import operations.
• Knowledge of U.S. customs regulations and trade compliance.
• Experience reviewing entries, documentation and data with analysis.
• Experience preparing workpapers and client deliverables.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and work independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office.
• Travel to clients and FTI offices.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Execute day-to-day and project-based trade compliance activities per client needs.
• Review customs entries, import transactions, documentation for compliance.
• Perform tariff classification, origin, valuation analyses and prepare docs.
• Execute tariff mitigation, duty drawback, and related activities.
• Support FTZ activities, admissions, inventory controls, reconciliations.
• Handle importer-of-record and post-entry processes; exception management.
• Analyze trade data to identify errors and potential issues.
• Prepare workpapers, reconciliations, and client deliverables.
• Conduct recurring compliance reviews and manage service levels.
• Coordinate with clients, brokers, logistics providers and team members.
