Job summary

FTI Consulting seeks an experienced Trade Services Consultant with 2+ years of hands-on trade compliance and international trade experience to support Trade Services engagements.

You will execute day-to-day and project-based trade compliance activities, review customs entries and broker data for accuracy, and perform tariff analyses to ensure regulatory compliance. Travel to client sites and FTI offices is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of hands-on trade compliance experience.
• Practical knowledge of U.S. customs regulations and trade compliance activities.
• Experience reviewing customs entries, import documentation, and trade data with strong analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and work independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; collaboration with clients and teams.
• Willingness to travel to clients and FTI offices.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Responsibilities

• Execute day-to-day and project-based trade compliance activities per client requirements and laws.
• Review customs entries, import transactions, broker data and other records for accuracy and compliance.
• Perform tariff classification, country-of-origin, valuation, tariff and duty analyses with supporting documentation.
• Execute tariff mitigation, duty drawback, and other duty recovery activities.
• Perform FTZ activities including admissions, inventory controls and reconciliations.
• Handle importer-of-record and import operations activities, including post-entry processes.
• Analyze trade data to identify errors, discrepancies, and potential issues.
• Prepare workpapers, reconciliations, audit-ready files, and client deliverables.
• Conduct recurring compliance reviews under managed services engagements.
• Coordinate with clients, brokers, logistics providers and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Support client implementations and transitions with data and process activities.
• Maintain quality and meet service levels and deadlines.
