Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Sector is seeking an International Trade Compliance Analyst at the 2 or 3 level, located in VA or other space sector sites. The role focuses on developing and managing internal controls for export/import activities to ensure compliance with EAR, ITAR, and customs requirements. Qualifications include a BA with 2+ years (or MS with 1+ year), or Level 3 with 5+ years (or MS with 3+ years).

A Licensed U.S. Customs Broker is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience or Master’s with 1+ year.
• Level 3 requires 5+ years or Master’s with 3+ years; additional 4+ years allowed in lieu of degree.
• Licensed U.S. Customs Broker.
• Expertise in USHTS and Schedule B classification; apply customs rulings and guidance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage internal controls for export and import activities to ensure compliance with U.S. and foreign trade regulations (EAR, ITAR, customs and sanctions).
• Establish and maintain business processes for exporting/importing licenses, permits, certifications, technology release determinations.
• Partner with Sector Compliance and external Brokers to ensure consistent interpretations of regulatory requirements and internal guidance.
• Design and oversee processes that ensure trade compliance through gate reviews for export/import shipments.
• Maintain trade compliance records with accuracy, completeness, and auditability.
• Collaborate with Law Dept and other functions to investigate and resolve trade compliance issues.
• Develop, implement and maintain training programs and audit activities to measure controls.
• Define, track, and report performance metrics for export/import processes.
• Provide expert guidance on customs classification under USHTS and Schedule B.
• Other duties as assigned.
